The City of Westfir is funded from a number of sources, including property taxes, revenue from services offered, fundraisers and grants.

The City of Westfir operates on a fiscal year budget that begins on July 1st. Each year, the City Council appoints a Budget Officer who in turn works with a Budget Committee (comprised of appointed volunteers) to create the budget for the upcoming year. All meetings are open to the public, and you are encouraged to attend.
