City Council Meeting – Remote Access

The City Council meeting on August 3, 2020, starting at 5:30 pm, will be held remotely in order to comply with COVID-19 social distancing requirements. Read below to learn how you can attend the meeting.

Join by computer or other device

This option works best if you have a fast Internet connection. You can use almost any device: desktop computer, notebook computer, tablet or smartphone.

Simply follow this link:

If you have not already installed the Zoom app, you’ll see straightforward instructions for doing so.

Once the Zoom app loads, you’ll be asked for your name. Please type your full name.

You’ll be asked whether you want to enable audio. You’ll also see an option for calling in by telephone, which is useful if your device does not have a microphone.

Once the meeting starts, you’ll see icons that allow you to mute/unmute your microphone; view a list of participants; raise your hand; and chat by text with the meeting moderator.

These options will be available to you during the meeting:

*6 – Toggle mute/unmute (while muted, you cannot be heard by others)
*9 – Raise your hand (and wait to be recognized by the moderator before speaking)

Attend the meeting at City Hall

This option is not recommended due to COVID-19 precautions, but citizens can attend in person at Westfir City Hall, 47441 Westoak Road. There will be an audio and video feed in the Council chamber. Seating is limited due to the need to maintain social distancing.
